Job summary

Henkel is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to lead manufacturing improvements within our Adhesive Technologies unit. You will drive efficiency, reduce variability, and support scale-up of new products while partnering with R&D and operations teams.

You will implement PFMEA, process controls, and quality systems, and maintain critical manufacturing documentation. This role involves cross-functional collaboration on capital projects and safety initiatives with a global company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
  • 2–5 years of process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement with focus on process optimization, yield, scrap, and cycle time reductions.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, PFMEA/risk assessments, process controls, and manufacturing quality systems.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems and maintaining SOPs, BOMs, routings, and work instructions.

  • Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce scrap and cycle times, and enhance process capability.
  • Partner with R&D and cross-functional teams to scale up new products and manage product and process changes.
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, PFMEA development and risk assessments to support quality and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain BOMs, routings, SOPs and manufacturing instructions for compliant production.
  • Identify capital investments and coordinate with suppliers and contractors to improve process capability and safety.

What you´ll do
  • DriveManufacturing and Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency,reduce scrap and cycle times, enhance process capability, minimize productvariability, and quickly resolve shop floor issues.
  • Support NewProduct Introduction and Change Management: Partner with R&D andcross-functional teams to scale up new products and processes, conductGate Assessments, and manage product and process changes while ensuringcustomer and internal requirements are met.
  • LeadTechnical Problem Solving and Risk Mitigation: Drive root cause analysis,corrective actions, PFMEA development, risk assessments, and processcontrol improvements to support product quality, process safety, customersatisfaction, and operational reliability.
  • ManageManufacturing Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain BOMs,routings, SOPs, manufacturing instructions, packaging instructions, andother documentation required to support compliant and efficient productionoperations.
  • ExecuteCapital Projects and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Identify capital investmentopportunities, coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, andvendors, and provide technical expertise to improve process capability,quality, productivity, safety, and environmental performance.
What makes you a good fit
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • 2-5 years of process engineering experience within a chemical, batchmanufacturing, or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on processoptimization, yield improvement, scrap reduction, and cycle time reduction.
  • Working knowledge of root cause analysis, process controls, PFMEA/riskassessment methodologies, and manufacturing quality systems.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, along with the developmentand maintenance of manufacturing documentation such as SOPs, BOMs, routings,and work instructions.

The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 and $82,000.00. This range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
