Job summary

Henkel is seeking a capable engineer to join the Adhesive Technologies organization, contributing to capital projects across manufacturing sites. You will help plan, execute and deliver projects that meet safety and quality standards while collaborating with contractors and internal teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in chemical or mechanical engineering, 1–3 years in chemical processing, strong PM skills, and the ability to read drawings and interpret process data; willingness to travel

What you´ll do
  • Support the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects while helping ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate daily activities between contractors and internal operations, participate in contractor meetings, and provide construction oversight as needed.
  • Generate purchase orders and manage the tracking, storage, and coordination of project equipment and materials.
  • Conduct field verification of installations against P&IDs, equipment specification sheets, and engineering design drawings to ensure accurate execution.
  • Support process safety and compliance initiatives, including Safe Work Permits, risk assessments, HAZOPs, MOCs, PSSRs, and other safety‑related programs.
  • Assist with equipment commissioning, startup activities, and ongoing engineering and operational improvement initiatives across the site.
What makes you a good fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the chemical process industry, with hands‑on experience in or supporting a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at different stages simultaneously.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, evaluate processes, and make data driven decisions; knowledge of unit operations, PLC/DCS systems, process safety management, and industry standards (API, ASME, NFPA, ISO, OSHA) is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% required.

The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 and $80,000.00. This range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
