Job description

Position Overview

Integration & Test Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL. Full‑time, on‑site position. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearances required: minimum Secret (Active Secret or Top Secret clearance). U.S. Citizenship required to obtain and maintain the necessary government clearance. Travel: 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Generate test plans, test procedures, test automation scripts, and test reports.
• Execute integration test activities including system integration, design verification tests, and qualification tests in system integration labs or offsite locations.
• Conduct integration testing and evaluate complex electronics systems from hardware/software design through aircraft installation.

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field with 8+ years of related experience;
• OR MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field with 6+ years of related experience;
• OR PhD with 4+ years of related experience;
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and firmware issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across disciplines.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an integration and test environment for complex electronic systems.
• Experience performing Design Verification Tests, Environmental Qualification Testing, and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Qualification Testing.
• Working knowledge of DOORS and Verification Cross‑Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
• Knowledge of EOIR systems, sensors, optics, RFEW systems, DSP, antenna design, computational electromagnetics, RF test equipment.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (Cameo).
• Experience applying basic systems‑engineering principles to develop and execute integration‑test plans.
• Knowledge of MATLAB, C, C++, Java, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Experience writing and executing test scripts.
• Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight.
• Willingness to travel.
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Salary & Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00. Salary decisions consider scope, responsibilities, and candidate experience. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and, for senior positions, long‑term incentives.
