Overview

The Integration & Test Systems Engineer position is located at our Rolling Meadows, IL site. Relocation assistance may be available. A security clearance (SAP) is required and the role includes 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Generate test plans, test procedures, and test automation.
• Create and analyze test reports from integration test activities such as system integration, design verification tests, qualification tests, etc.
• Execute integration test activities in system integration labs (SILs) or off‑site locations.
• Collaborate with the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) team to understand systems engineering processes across the product lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical degree with 2+ years of related experience; OR MS in the same fields with 1+ year of related experience. For Principal level, 5+ year BS, 3+ year MS, or 1+ year PhD with related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and firmware issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across disciplines.
• US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Secret clearance (additional customer specified clearance).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an integration and test environment for complex electronic systems evaluation.
• Execution of design verification tests, environmental qualification testing, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) qualification testing.
• Proficiency with DOORS and Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs).
• Knowledge of EOIR systems, sensors, optics, RFEW, DSP, antenna design, computational electromagnetics, RF test equipment.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools (Cameo).
• Knowledge of MATLAB, C, C++, Java, Python or other scripting languages.
• Ability to write and execute test scripts and work independently with little oversight.
• Willingness to travel and hold an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Salary & Benefits

Primary Level: $87,600.00 – $131,400.00. Principal Level: $108,800.00 – $163,200.00. Salary is adjusted based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills and market conditions. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary and annual bonuses, and possibly long‑term incentives. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, PTO and other standard Northrop Grumman benefits.
