Position Summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector (NGDS) is seeking a Sr. Principal Project Manager to lead enterprise‑wide physical security and converged network security initiatives. The role bridges IT infrastructure and physical facility protection, managing access control systems, video surveillance, and intrusion detection networks.

Responsibilities
  • Design, program, integrate, and manage security device subnets and firewall rules across the enterprise.
  • Serve as the primary incident responder and conduct detailed root‑cause analyses to address security events.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop risk‑mitigation solutions and support project goals.
  • Lead full‑lifecycle project execution, applying structured site‑level risk assessment and countermeasure implementation.
  • Prioritize and complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines while maintaining accurate documentation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 14 years of relevant experience; or bachelor’s/ master’s degree with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of project management experience, not necessarily in IDS/PACS/Video systems.
  • At least 10 years of experience deploying security and network equipment, including device subnets, firewall rules, and system hardening best practices.
  • At least 5 years installing and managing server/client software, including licensing, firmware updates, and bandwidth/storage calculations.
  • Strong communication, analytical, planning, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of ICD 705, NISPOM, and applicable UL standards.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lenel Certified Professional
  • Milestone Certified Integration Technician (MCIT)
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) certificate
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate
  • Active DOD Top Secret clearance (preferred)
Security Clearance

Top Secret clearance is required at the start of employment. Relocation assistance is not available. Travel for up to 25% of the time may be required.

Benefits

Primary salary range: $101,400.00 – $176,300.00. Compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and for certain levels, long‑term incentives. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off for vacation and personal business.
