Your Career

We seek an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver next-generation cloud security service technologies within our Next Firewall as a Service team. We want passionate engineers who love architecting and coding world-class security services on Cloud Providers. Ideal candidates are innovative, take ownership, and solve problems at all levels, with strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.

Your Impact

• Design, develop, and implement scalable software features for our next-gen security platform as part of NextGen Firewall as a Service.
• Own end-to-end workflows for major components of the service in its initial version.
• Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Suggest and improve development processes in an open engineering environment.
• Identify, articulate, and mitigate risks proactively, providing mentorship and stakeholder communication as needed.
• Work with DevOps and Support teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance customer experience.
• Design and build backend services using Go.
• Mentor and coach new team members as the team grows.

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 14+ years in software engineering, with a focus on cloud application development, in large organizations or startups.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java, with experience in distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud service stacks on AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Knowledge of complex cloud networking topologies and multi-cloud interconnects.
• Experience developing distributed cloud applications with REST APIs, databases, and serverless computing.
• Proficiency in building scalable services using microservices architectures.
• Technical leadership skills with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to clearly explain architecture and design rationales.
• High energy and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
• Quick learner, eager to adopt new technologies.
• Education: M.S./B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.

Additional Information

The Team

Our engineering team is central to building cloud security services on cloud providers, managing aspects from activation to orchestration and APIs. We seek individuals comfortable with ambiguity, excited by challenges, and motivated by the importance of secure digital environments.

Compensation Disclosure

Starting salary ranges from $225K to $250K, depending on qualifications, experience, and location, potentially including stock units and bonuses. Benefits details are available here.
