Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a seasoned engineer to analyze network architectures and lead the development and integration of communications subsystems. You will conduct trade studies, interact with suppliers, and coordinate with customers to ensure mission objectives are met.

The role requires an active DoD clearance (Secret, with potential Top Secret) and strong problem-solving and communication skills in a collaborative, fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related professional/military experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of related experience.
• Active, Fully-Adjudicated Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance and access to special programs.
• Experience with Analysis of communications Information Exchange Requirements (IERs) in TX/RX of Military BLOS, Military LOS, CNS/ATM, and FAA-compliant messaging.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and data analysis experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Ability to review supplier development documents and support vendor meetings and design reviews.
• Experience with supplier/subcontract management and developing supplier documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support technical discussions with the customer and having daily interaction with management, external personnel, customers, and various sub teams

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, or Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 6 years of related professional/military experience.
• Active, Fully-Adjudicated Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance and access to special programs
• Experience with the Analysis of communications Information Exchange Requirements (IERs) in one of the following areas: TX/RX of Military BLOS, Military LOS, CNS/ATM, and other FAA compliant messaging
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and data analysis experience
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a close team environment
• Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently and work in a self-directed manner
• Ability to review documents from the supplier's development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design review
• Supplier/subcontract management
• Developing supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
