Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer Electronics. This onsite position is in Oklahoma City, OK.


The Sr. Principal Engineer Electronics will be responsible for developing and executing the program.



Essential Functions


  • Performing and executing Statement of Work (SOW) as a Responsible Engineer (RE) for Radar Avionics Subsystem(s)

  • Responsibilities include the ability to manage the program requirements to ensure supplier compliance with program and AV design, test, document and Avionics Weapons subsystems hardware requirements

  • Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications

  • Collaborate with Subcontract engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.

  • Work to develop design solutions for obsolete hardware.

  • Travel up to 25%



Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics Radar subsystems.

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.



Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 year of related engineering experience; Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.



Primary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00


The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.




  • Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

  • Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

  • Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

  • In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
