Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Engineer Electronics - Weapons SMT. This onsite role can be in Oklahoma City, OK or Melbourne, FL, with up to 25% travel.

The candidate will manage SOW as SMT for Weapons Avionics, ensure compliance with AV design and testing, and document designs with detailed schematics. Secret clearance and SAP eligibility are required or sought.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years experience or Master's with 3+ years or PhD with no experience.
• Senior level: Bachelor's with 8+ years, Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
• Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).

Responsibilities

• Performing and executing SOW as a Supplier/Subcontract SMT for Weapons Avionics Subsystems.

This onsite position can be performed in either Oklahoma City, OK or Melbourne, FL.

Essential Functions

• Performing and executing Statement of Work (SOW) as a Supplier/Subcontract Manger (SMT) Weapons Avionics Subsystem(s)
• Responsibilities include the ability to manage the program requirements to ensure supplier compliance with program and AV design, test, document and Avionics Radar subsystems hardware requirements
• Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
• Collaborate with Subcontract engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
• Work with subcontractors to develop design solutions for obsolete hardware.
• Travel up to 25%

This position may be filled at either the Principal OR Sr. Principal level, depending upon the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications

• Basic qualifications for a Principal Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 5 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with no experience.
• Basic qualifications for a Sr. Principal Engineer include a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 8 years of experience, a Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years of experience, or a PhD Degree with 3 years of experience.
• Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Special Program Access (SAP)

Primary Level Salary Range

• $93,300.00 - $147,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range

• $116,300.00 - $184,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
