Job summary

Raytheon Technologies in McKinney, TX is seeking a Program Chief Engineer (PCE) for the Electronic Warfare Systems product line. Raytheon’s Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) is seeking a motivated, Program Chief Engineer (PCE), for their Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) / Advanced Systems product line. The Program Chief Engineer is responsible for engineering cost, schedule, and technical execution of the program within the Advanced Systems product line. The Chief Engineer reports to the Advanced Systems Program Area Chief Engineer (PACE) and oversees the IPT Leads and engineering leadership on the program. This individual will lead a product team through the system and project lifecycles, which includes technology maturation, development, verification, production, and sustainment. The Chief Engineer will be the technical focal point of the program to the customer, functional organizations, and leadership. This role will also provide technical oversight and guidance to external vendors to ensure requirements and schedule compliance along with providing leadership and guidance to the test architect and lead systems engineer. This position is an onsite role in McKinney, TX.

What You Will Do

• Perform as the Program Chief Engineer who is the single engineering leadership point of contact and is responsible for the engineering execution of an entire program, overseeing all technical, schedule, and financial aspects.
• Help establish and manage a program vision, strategy, and goals to align the Program with Customer expectations / requirements.
• Perform as the primary technical POC with customer senior technical counterparts.
• Manage all engineering related activities across the Program to ensure that the overall system design meets the required performance within the project constraints (cost and schedule), and production efforts execute as planned.
• Partner with Engineering Discipline leaders to define the engineering skills required for successful program execution.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across all IPTs, CPTs, and disciplines within the Program.
• Lead Technical risk and opportunity management for the Program.
• Establish and guide the Digital Engineering / Model-Based strategy for the product / program.
• Lead across a highly multi-disciplinary team, requiring experience across all design engineering disciplines, technical supplier management, business development, and program leadership.
• Travel as needed to support Program / Customer (~10%).

• Advanced degree in STEM.
• Experience in factory establishment, production experience, and ability to facilitate and coordinate activities across multiple facilities and locations.
• Systems Architecture experience.
• Experience with capture effort coordination and developing proposals to obtain funding, spanning technical proposal development, work breakdown structures and cost estimation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, other engineering disciplines and external customers / stakeholders.

Additional Eligibility / Knowledge Requirements

• Requires expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
• Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
