You will provide electrical engineering services to our client and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the electrical engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Core Engineering Deliverables
- Deliver electrical engineering services that meet our client, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget
- Initiate, manage, and supervise (if required) electrical engineering project requirements
Technical Execution
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures
- Ensure project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes
- Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, including:
- Writing requisitions
- Conducting technical bid evaluations
- Writing purchase orders
- Act as the Electrical Engineering Lead on specific projects (if required)
- Function as the Electrical Engineering Lead on specific projects
- Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, assign tasks, and supervise progress
- Ensure required services meet our client, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between our client and its customer's requirements
- Complete additional responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Professional Development & Collaboration
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering
- Assist and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team (if required)
- Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders, including customers
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
- May serve as a technical consultant within area of expertise and make formal presentations to customers or Company management
What You Will Bring
Technical & Industry Experience
- Extensive years of relevant discipline experience
- Experience working in project leadership role
- Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills with ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work
- Sound knowledge of fundamental requirements of electrical engineering and basic requirements of other engineering fields
- Sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory/regulatory requirements
- Competent use of electrical engineering-specific software
- Proficiency in relevant software (MS Office Suite)
- Substantial technical and practical experience in electrical engineering in the same or similar industry, including multi-disciplinary projects and teams
Education & Qualifications
- Required: BS or MS in related field or applicable discipline (typically an engineering degree), or equivalent experience if allowed by law
- Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States
