Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a skilled electrical engineer to lead projects from concept to construction and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery. You will prepare deliverables, coordinate with client and internal teams, and supervise interdisciplinary work to meet strict standards.

The ideal candidate holds a PE and a Bachelor's in Engineering, with 1–3 years of Electrical E-4 or 6–10 years’ related experience, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD and Easy Power.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in electrical system distribution, lighting and power system design.
• Assemble effective project teams.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary activities.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and electrical standards.
• Oversee engineering calculations and equipment selection.
• Perform site visits and issue reports.
• Provide mentorship for staff.
• Update master specifications and standards; improve processes.
• Apply Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash analyses using Easy Power.
• Develop client relationships.
• Oversee the project quality management plan (QMP).
• May serve as Project Manager or Engineer of Record with approval.

• Responsible for the preparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications
• Attend client meetings, lead the coordination effort between external and internal project teams
• Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction
• Proficient in electrical system distribution, lighting and power system design
• Assemble effective project teams
• Thorough understanding of interdisciplinary coordination
• Advanced understanding of the application of building codes and electrical industry standards
• Oversee engineering calculations and equipment selection
• Perform site visits and issue reports
• Provide training, guidance and mentorship for staff
• Provide updates to master specifications and standards, and improve company processes
• Engineering application of distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power
• Develop client relationships
• Oversee the application of the project quality management plan (QMP)
• May be responsible as a Project Manager or the Engineer of Record (EOR) with approval

Requirements
