SR PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

SUMMARY

As Senior Press Brake Operator, you will consult the Shop Floor Manager schedule to determine which parts to run. Additionally, you will create CNC programs for new parts based on engineering drawing.

SALARY

Starting at $25/hr - commensurate with experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consult Shop Floor Manager schedule to determine which parts to run.
• Determine most efficient way to bend parts based on engineering drawing, knowledge and experience.
• Create CNC programs for new parts based on engineering drawing.
• Select program for part number on press brake control panel.
• Select proper tooling based on bend angles of part as shown in SolidWorks drawing.
• Load tooling/set-up Press Brake.
• Operate the press brake bending parts correctly per SolidWorks Drawings/part prints.
• Verify part dimensions using calipers, tape measure, etc.
• Train new press brake operators.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Press Brake.
• Troubleshoot Press Brake issues.
• Follow all company safety policies & procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of press brake operation and set up
• Experience dealing with tight tolerances and high surface areas
• Robotics experience preferred
• Proficiency with calipers, tape measure, square and with reading/interpreting part prints/drawings
• High School or General Education Degree (GED)
