Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Must Haves:

• Master’s in electrical engineering (emphasis in power engineering preferred)
• 10+ year of experience
• Experience defining power flow and loss calculations across transformers and transmission lines shared between multiple resources
• Knowledge and experience with the integration of inverter-based resources (IBR) such as solar, wind, and ESS to the transmission and distribution system
• Familiarity with microgrids and their integration/coordination with substation relays, protection schemes, and critical load management
• Knowledge and experience with developing load flow and interconnection studies of power systems with ETAP or equivalent software
• Familiarity with grid codes, interconnection standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NERC, IEEE, FERC)
• Experience working with utilities, ISOs, and renewable energy developers

Plusses:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Strong experience distributing resources (renewable, PV/BESS, solar, wind, battery) with high voltage
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation and data analysis
