This role involves collaborating with various functions to translate business needs into effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive supply chain experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive innovative ideas.

Premier is looking for someone who is passionate about leveraging data and technology to improve the health of our communities. In Premier’s Cost Management division, we create applications and analytics that help healthcare systems improve their efficiency. We’re focused on what our members, an alliance of approximately 3,750 U.S. hospitals and 130,000 other providers, need to drive down costs within their supply chain and provide high value healthcare.
As a Senior Portfolio Business Analyst, you are the accountable liaison between product management, software development, user experience, and support. You understand the business needs of supply chain professionals and the relative importance of these needs. You understand how data is created, stored, manipulated, and used to answer questions and solve problems. You know what it’s like to be a user who depends on workflow and analysis tools daily to perform their job.
In this role you will relate the specific needs and experiences of the users you represent to software developers and testers as well as training, support, and implementation teams. You will need to work with many different functions and personalities to lead the creation of effective solutions. You will also have to stay tightly aligned with product management, helping translate their vision into solutions for our members. This requires adaptability, a good intuition for priority, and the ability to manage up.
And while your primary job is to translate the latest big ideas from product management into bite-sized requirements for development, you’ll be expected to have big ideas of your own. This may be your latest analysis showing how to improve our applications, our processes, or the business. Or it may be an idea for a new product.
At Premier you have the ability to make a meaningful impact on healthcare in the United States. Our culture values its people and their innovation, performance, and teamwork. We are a rapidly growing company with many opportunities to grow along with it, and if this role seems like a fit, we would love to talk to you.
