Job summary

University of California- Davis Health seeks a Senior Polysomnographic Technologist to perform advanced diagnostic sleep studies for inpatients and outpatients. You will score and interpret sleep data to support accurate diagnosis and treatment, while delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) status or eligibility.
• BLS/CPR certification required by AHA/Red Cross or UC Davis Health.
• Licensed by the Medical Board of California as a Polysomnographic Technologist or must obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies for inpatients and outpatients across the lifespan.

Job Summary

The Senior Polysomnographic Technologist performs advanced diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies for hospital inpatients and outpatients across the lifespan, including routine and complex polysomnography, portable sleep testing, and Home Sleep Testing. This role is responsible for accurately scoring and interpreting sleep study data while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care that supports accurate diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

Working under the clinical direction of the Neurodiagnostic Services Supervisor, Medical Directors, and Program Manager, the Senior Polysomnographic Technologist serves as an experienced clinical resource, contributing to the technical quality of sleep studies and supporting efficient laboratory operations. In addition to direct patient care, this position performs front office and administrative functions for the assigned clinical team, provides backup support as needed, and fosters a welcoming, compassionate environment that promotes exceptional patient experiences and operational excellence.
