Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a high-speed satellite network to deliver fast internet from Redmond, WA. We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead end-to-end satellite development, coordinating engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and launch teams.

You will develop integrated plans, drive execution, manage dependencies, and remove blockers to enable teams to deliver faster and with higher quality. This is an individual contributor role with broad organizational influence where you will align

  • Drive cross-team alignment on ownership, sequencing, and delivery while adapting quickly as conditions change, ensuring deliverables meet customer, mission and program requirements.

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager (PM) for satellite development. In this role, your PM leadership will drive delivery of complex projects across all teams including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and launch. You will develop integrated plans for satellite development, drive execution, work at the interfaces, and remove blockers to enable teams to deliver faster and with higher quality. Your ability to see around corners and proactively manage dependencies and risks will be critical to our success.

This is an individual contributor role with broad organizational influence. You’ll drive alignment and execution leveraging your technical domain knowledge, strong program management fundamentals, and trusted partnerships.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Knowledge of general AI tools
  • Program management professional certification
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Ability to regularly engage with senior stake holders and influence across the organization
  • High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Proven ability to deal effectively with ambiguity while leading in a high-speed, agile environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
