Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG, is seeking a senior plumbing and fire protection engineer in the Cambridge area to lead projects and mentor less experienced staff. You will design water, sanitary, storm, gas, and sprinkler systems from concept through construction.

The role focuses on labs, data centers, schools, universities, and offices around Boston, with hybrid, full-time schedule. You will produce Revit documents, coordinate with disciplines, and oversee field administration.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of plumbing and fire protection design experience in a consulting engineering or A/E firm.
• Experience in Revit.
• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design domestic water, sanitary and waste, storm, and gas systems, along with sprinkler and standpipe systems.
• Produce full construction documents in Revit and coordinate them in the model with other disciplines.
• Handle code and AHJ review.
• Stay on through construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and site visits.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Work directly with clients.
