iLocatum is seeking a Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer in Cambridge, MA. This hybrid, full-time role involves leading projects, mentoring staff, and delivering integrated plumbing and fire protection designs including sprinkler and standpipe systems.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years of plumbing/fire protection design experience, Revit proficiency, and a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own design on projects from concept through construction administration.
• Design domestic water, sanitary and waste, storm, and gas systems, along with sprinkler and standpipe.
• Produce full construction documents in Revit and coordinate with other disciplines in the model.
• Handle code and AHJ review.
• Support construction administration including submittals, RFIs, and site visits.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Work directly with clients.

Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer, Revit

Cambridge, MA (Hybrid) | Full-time | $120,000 - $160,000

We're hiring a senior plumbing and fire protection engineer for an employee-owned (ESOP) architecture and engineering firm that designs the buildings it engineers. You'll run your own projects and mentor less experienced staff, working on labs, data centers, schools and universities, and offices in and around Boston. This is a hybrid role, three days a week in office.

What You'll Do

• Own design on your own projects from concept through construction administration
• Design domestic water, sanitary and waste, storm, and gas systems, along with sprinkler and standpipe

• Stay on through construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and site visits

What We're Looking For
