We are planning a spin-off company ('SpinCo') comprising NBCUniversal's cable networks and digital assets, expected to complete in 2025.

We seek a Senior Platform Engineer to shape our engineering ecosystem by developing capabilities, patterns, services, and automation for scalable, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure. You will lead in delivering platform solutions that meet high standards, working with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and developer tooling in AWS.

Job Responsibilities

1. Drive solution architecture and delivery across domains, focusing on AWS, containers, and cloud-native architectures.
2. Develop and operate platform capabilities including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation solutions.
3. Design reusable cloud infrastructure patterns and templates ensuring security and compliance.
4. Promote best practices in software delivery, observability, and operational excellence.
5. Collaborate with product and engineering teams, providing technical leadership and sharing knowledge.
6. Evaluate and improve standards, practices, and security measures organization-wide.
7. Communicate proactively through updates, documentation, and collaboration.
8. Partner with engineering teams to understand needs and deliver solutions enhancing productivity.

Required Experience

• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and Terraform.
• Proven track record in secure, compliant cloud solutions at scale, with AWS security expertise.
• Strong skills in containers, AMIs, Docker, ECS/EKS.
• Experience with GitOps workflows and CI/CD automation.
• Experience with REST APIs, relational databases in AWS.
• Ability to develop reusable infrastructure patterns.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven problem-solving skills and solution delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regulated environments and compliance.
• Background in platform engineering and DevOps.
• AWS certifications or equivalent expertise.
• Experience mentoring engineers and sharing knowledge.
