Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to architect and implement scalable AWS environments using Terraform and modern IaC practices. You will drive CI/CD automation with FluxCD, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions, and collaborate across teams to ensure secure, compliant, and high-performing infrastructure.

The role emphasizes security-first design, automation, and tuning for reliability in a remote-capable, full-time setting. Strong scripting and AWS proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 6+ years of industry experience, typically with 1+ years in a Senior Associate level role or external equivalent.
• Deep IaC Expertise: 8+ years developing Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or similar).
• CI/CD Mastery: 6+ years building pipelines with GitOps (FluxCD, ArgoCD) and automation tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Cloud Native Skills: Kubernetes, service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), auto-scaling (Karpenter).
• Programming for Automation: Scripting/programming background (Python, Shell).
• AWS Proficiency: AWS services including EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, security.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable AWS environments using Terraform and modern IaC practices.
• Develop enterprise AWS solutions with a security-first mindset for resilience and performance.
• Drive release automation with CI/CD pipelines (GitOps, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) for stateless/stateful/serverless apps.
• Automate patching, upgrades, and upkeep of IaC and pipelines for health and compliance.
• Collaborate with external customers and internal teams to align infra with business needs.
• Advocate automation of AWS infrastructure to minimize manual intervention and errors.
• Contribute to cloud strategy and ongoing innovation across the org.

SitusAMC is on a Digital Transformation journey to Strategize, implement, and automate end-to-end product delivery using turn-key technologies. This role requires a passion for programming and knowledge in Cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, in general, and AWS-specific cloud components such as EC2, EKS, AWS Lamda functions, API Gateway, and RDS. The Engineer is expected to provide strategy and implement enterprise-scale service mesh and sidecar architectures with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and availability.

Essential Job Functions:

• Build Cloud Infrastructure: Build scalable, efficient, and cost-effective AWS environments using Terraform and modern IaC best practices.

• Shape Strategic Direction: Develop enterprise class solutions in AWS with a security-first mindset — ensuring resilience, availability, and performance.

• Accelerate Delivery: Drive release automation through advanced CI/CD pipelines (GitOps, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) that support stateless, stateful, and serverless applications.

• Enhance Cloud Operations: Automate patching, upgrades, and ongoing system upkeep of IaC and pipelines to keep infrastructure healthy and compliant.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with external customers and internal architects, developers, and security teams to align infrastructure with business and regulatory needs.

• Champion Automation: Drive automation of Infrastructure in AWS throughout the organization to minimize manual intervention and error

• Drive Innovation: Bring new ideas to the table, suggest improvements, and help evolve our cloud strategy

• Other activities as may be assigned by your manager

Qualifications/ Requirements:

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$110,000.00 - $180,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
