We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Platform / DevOps Engineer to join our engineering organization and drive the modernization, automation, and operational excellence of enterprise infrastructure and platform services. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in platform engineering, DevOps automation, Microsoft 365 integrations, infrastructure management, and enterprise migrations.
This role requires a hands-on engineer who can manage complex server and storage environments, automate infrastructure provisioning, support cloud and on-prem platforms, and collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable platform and infrastructure solutions that support enterprise applications and services.
- Implement DevOps practices to improve deployment efficiency, automation, monitoring, and operational reliability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Support Microsoft 365 integrations and enterprise collaboration platform initiatives.
- Plan and execute server migration, application migration, and NAS migration projects.
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments.
- Manage enterprise storage systems, virtualization platforms, and infrastructure components.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using industry-standard DevOps tools.
- Participate in system upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning activities.
- Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams to ensure platform availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and platform-related issues.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code practices and promote automation across operational processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and deployment standards.
- Provide production support and participate in incident resolution activities when required.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms.
