Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a seasoned planner/scheduler to lead the daily activities for the Orbital Launch Site at Launch Complex 36. You will collaborate across Operations, Facilities, Inventory, and Project Managers to ensure resources are available and deconflicted for scheduled work.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, safety commitment, and cross-functional coordination in a high-stakes aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in business, finance, project management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of planning and scheduling experience in aerospace or related environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining resource-loaded schedules using Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience using and managing ERP/MRP systems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, especially using Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across personnel and management.
  • Ability to work full-time, including occasional travel, overtime, or on-call work.
  • Must be able to pass security background check to work at federal reservations.

Responsibilities

  • Update visual management charts with current program status.

Job description

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance.

This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of engineers, technicians, and specialists, you will be responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, and aligning the daily activities for the Orbital Launch Site at Launch Complex 36. You will collaborate with all aspects of Orbital Launch Site, Facilities, Inventory, Project Managers, Operations Control and New Glenn vehicle teams to ensure required resources are available and deconflicted to support execution of the required work. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to safety to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Responsibilities:
  • Manages scope of work ensuring maintenance, integration, and detailed schedules for all operations at Launch Complex 36.
  • Provides management detailed information to ensure scheduled completion dates align with assigned resource capacities across the pad.
  • When schedule recovery is necessary, identifies and analyzes solutions and bottlenecks, including forward and reverse scheduling methods.
  • What-If analysis provided to management as required.
  • Works closely with all Operations teams to determine resources and labor hours needed then schedules work accordingly.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with all groups operating at the pad, to include contracted work, to ensure all operations and customer specifications are achieved and schedules are accurate.
  • Monitors status and provides regular updates to management on upcoming operations priorities.
  • Updates visual management charts with current program status.
  • Performs schedule and scope variance analysis and reviews LC-36 operations execution.
  • Works on problems of varied scope where analysis of data requires evaluation and judgement.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in business, finance, project management, or another related field.
  • 5+ years of planning and scheduling experience, especially within an aerospace environment.
  • Experience in developing maintaining resource-loaded schedules using Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience using and managing ERP/MRP systems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, particularly using Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and acumen to collaborate across various personnel and management.
  • Experience identifying, managing, and actioning risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Able to work full time schedule, including occasional travel, overtime, or on-call work.
  • Must be able to pass the security background check to work at federal reservations.
Desired:
  • Planning and scheduling experience for engine test, launch, and/or recovery operations.
  • Expert Microsoft Project skills and Project Server experience.
  • Experience working in new programs / new product introduction.
  • Proven record of hands‑on development and implementation of company-wide process improvements.
  • Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager).
