Burrow Global has an immediate need for an experienced Sr. Piping Designer for a long-term assignment with an oil and gas company located in downtown Houston.

The primary responsibilities of the Piping Designer, Senior, include:

1. Facilitating project design and drafting to ensure successful project completion.
2. Assigning equipment, instrument, and valve tagging numbers.
3. Assigning piping line numbers.
4. Resolving drawing development issues.
5. Drafting changes to record drawings.
6. Preparing process flow diagrams (PFD), piping & instrument diagrams (P&ID), general equipment layouts, facility plot plans, and equipment/instrument lists.
7. Assisting in developing project scopes, engineering/design scopes, and construction scopes of work.
8. Attending project meetings to understand customer needs and scope definitions.
9. Reviewing man-hour estimates and work schedules for efficiency.
10. Coordinating the distribution of design packages among stakeholders.
11. Providing design and drafting services for time/budget-critical projects.
12. Communicating with vendors regarding material quotes and availability.
13. Performing material take-offs and creating parts lists.
14. Generating material requisitions and maintaining documentation related to technical design issues.
15. Participating in the development and maintenance of company standard drawings.
16. Maintaining expertise in design and drafting, ensuring access to specialty resources and technology.
17. Developing and implementing specifications and procedures to lower costs.
18. Coordinating with project managers, purchasing, inspectors, and contractors.
19. Generating Pre-Assessment Letters (PAL) for in-service welds.
20. Providing guidance to enhance team information access through developed tools and methods.

Position Requirements:

• Associates Degree in drafting and 10 years of piping design experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and CadWorx.
• Active TWIC Card.
