Your work environment at EXP

Join the CAD team within EXP Energy Services in Houston, Texas. You will work on designing, permitting, and constructing major energy projects, including high-pressure oil and gas pipelines and energy transition initiatives such as Carbon Capture, Sequestration, CO2 pipelines, and Hydrogen projects.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Develop pipeline-related facilities using AutoCAD Plant 3D: material specifications, 3D modeling, P&IDs, ISOs, site/plot plans, drawings, and BOMs.
• Create CADWorx drawings for pipeline facilities, including modeling, P&IDs, ISOs, plans, sections, arrangements, and BOMs.
• Train CAD staff on AutoCAD Plant 3D and CADWorx software.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with requirements.
• Prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and CAD team to ensure consistency in deliverables.
• Support engineering, environmental, civil survey, permitting, and land groups with drafting needs.
• Ensure CAD data aligns with project GIS databases.
• Work with senior technicians to establish procedures and perform quality control on deliverables.
• Occasional travel to other offices for team and client interactions.
• Bonus: Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for site-specific crossing drawings, construction plans, facility layouts, as-built sheets, property sketches, and permits.

What your experience looks like

• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with interstate oil/gas pipeline projects.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D: modeling, P&IDs, ISOs, plans, sections, arrangements, BOMs.
• Knowledge of CADWorx for 3D facility modeling and training others.
• Ability to integrate GIS data into CAD drawings.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS for terrain and profile modeling.
• Basic skills in ESRI ArcGIS Pro for data management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to technology.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
