Job summary

Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center is seeking a Full Time Pharmacy Technician in Waianae, HI. The Senior Pharmacy Technician will support the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge with third party billing, sales reporting, inventory control, and supervision of staff.

Requirements include a HI Pharmacy Technician registration (or must obtain within 90 days), a high school diploma, and a pharmacy tech program or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of pharmacy tech program or on-the-job education required.
• Registration with HI State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician required; within 90 days of hire if not possessed.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
• Must attend educational/training sessions.
• 3 years’ experience in third party billing and collection preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in purchasing and inventory control programs preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician in Hawaii preferred.

Full Time Pharmacy Tech – Waianae, HI, US

Salary Range: $21.00 To $21.00 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY

In addition to performing all functions and duties described under the Pharmacy Technician job description, the Senior Pharmacy Technician position will assist the Director of Pharmacy and the Pharmacist in Charge in all third party billing functions, monthly sales reporting, inventory control programs and the supervision of the other pharmacy technician/clerk staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• Completion of pharmacy technical program or on the job education/pharmacy work experiences required
• Registration with HI State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician required; if not had at time of hire will be required to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
• Must attend educational/training sessions related to performing above duties
• Three years’ experience in third party pharmacy billing and collection preferred
• Three years’ experience in purchasing and inventory control programs preferred
• A minimum of five years’ experience as a pharmacy technician in the State of Hawaii preferred
