Qualifications

• Experience as a PeopleSoft Functional Consultant focusing on commissions processes and related integration points.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft GL and related modules (OM, Billing, Purchasing, Inventory, Cost Accounting, AP, AR).
• Experience with PeopleSoft version 8.9; PeopleTools Version 8.5027 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review high level Sales Associate Accounting requirements and key deliverables of the project.
• Evaluate current PeopleSoft core transactions flow including Sales Order, OM, Billing, GL and purchase order flows with Purchasing/Inventory/Cost Accounting/AP.
• Review customized commission module from calculations to data tables and payment processes.
• Assess financial transaction entries from submodules through to general ledger and capture attributes for gross profit calculations.
• Review reporting requirements for profit model, gross profit/commission, and income statements/balance sheets.
• Recommend using an external engine for commission calculation or data capture/reporting tool alongside PeopleSoft.
• Perform fit/gap analysis for capturing financial transactions and attributes for gross profit by sales order and commissions.
• Advise on leveraging delivered PeopleSoft technology while separating core financials from commission processes.

Senior PeopleSoft Functional Consultant, Commissions Processes Expert

A direct Minnesota client seeks a PeopleSoft Functional Consultant who is highly experienced in commission processes with PeopleSoft Commissions module and/or outside software that integrates with PeopleSoft.

be versatile in PeopleSoft General Ledger (GL) and have functional knowledge of the other modules working together within PeopleSoft (OM, Billing, Purchasing, Inventory, Cost Accounting, AP, AR, commission, contracts).

Duties:

• Review of high level Sales Associate Accounting requirements and key deliverables of project
• Review current PeopleSoft core transactions process flow including Sales Order flow (OM, Billing, GL), purchase order flow (Purchasing, Inventory, Cost Accounting, AP, GL), Accounts Receivable flow
• Review current customized commission module from commission calculations, data table creation, payment process, commission contracts
• Review of financial transaction entries from submodule through to general ledger, understanding key attributes to be captured for gross profit calculations
• Review of current reporting requirements- Client's profit model, Gross Profit/commission requirements, and corporate income statement/balance sheet requirement
• Recommendation on commission calculation engine outside of the core transaction utilizing PeopleSoft tools or another outside software technology
• Recommendation on data capture and reporting tool utilizing PeopleSoft tools or another outside software technology/database
• Complete fit/gap analysis regarding capturing the financial transaction and all attributes related to calculating the gross profit by sales order and commission splits
• Recommendation on how to leverage delivered PeopleSoft technology to get the best solution with the separation of PeopleSoft core financial transactions/business processes and the commission process
