Job summary

Role

Title: Sr. PCB Design Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA

Responsibilities

• Work with the Hardware Engineering team to provide schematic and PCB board designs. Layouts range from simple to complex, multi-layer boards containing analog, digital, RF, and power components.
• Liaise with PCB vendors to select materials, stack-ups, impedance specifications, DFX rulesets, assembly requirements, and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Create and manage PCB documentation including fabrication and assembly packages.
• Collaborate in a team environment across engineering disciplines.

Skills

• 5+ years of PCB design experience using Altium and/or Cadence/Allegro.
• Knowledge of IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and other electronic standards.
• Experience creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints in libraries.
• Experience interpreting datasheets and schematics to generate netlists and constraints in layout design.
• Experience designing multiple PCB types, including:
  • HDI design
  • Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex design
  • Wire Bonding design
  • Aluminum-backed design
• Experience in designing high-speed differential, power, analog, and RF circuits.
• Experience with layout constraints for mixed/RF signals, impedance control, memory interfaces, power distribution, heat dissipation, and EMI optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of PCB layout design experience using Altium and/or Cadence/Allegro.
• Experience with Altium Concord Pro or similar library management systems.
• Proven track record to design and manage all aspects of printed board design.

Education

Education: AA degree minimum or BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Salary range for this position is $70/hr to $80/hr. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
