What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and resolve payroll tax issues while acting as a subject matter expert
- Manage escalated payroll tax cases in collaboration with HR Operations and communicate with employees and external tax vendors
- Run queries to audit taxes for each bi-weekly payroll run and maintain accurate tax records within the payroll system
- Assist with year-end review and processing of W2s and W2c
- Collaborate effectively with HRIS, Payroll Operations, and other departments to support payroll operations and tax changes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2+ years of professional experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with Pivot tables and VLookups
- Ability to work accurately under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience analyzing large amounts of data and problem-solving in a confidential setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to establish effective working relationships
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience with solid Excel skills
- 2+ years of prior payroll experience
- 1+ years of prior payroll tax experience
- 6+ months of functional experience with PeopleSoft HRMS
- Experience with ADP Smart Compliance and tax notice resolution
