Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our payroll team. You will process high-volume payroll across multiple entities and pay groups with accuracy and professionalism.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of multi-state payroll experience for 2,000+ employees, strong Excel/Outlook skills, and familiarity with UKG Pro, UKG Dimensions, TCR or Salesforce. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years payroll experience processing multi-state payroll for 2,000+ employees.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Experience with UKG Pro, UKG Dimensions, TCR or Salesforce preferred.
• Experience with Certified Payroll preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payroll
• Ensure timecards are submitted and reviewed prior to processing payroll
• Process payroll adjustments, salary changes, bonus payments, commissions and other ad hoc payroll items
• Assist employees and managers with payroll-related inquiries via phone, email or ticketing system
• Collaborate with other members of the payroll team and HR department to ensure accurate payroll processing
• Review tax, garnishment and deduction information for employees
• Generate payroll reports as needed
• Contribute to the department's goals of process improvement and documentation, including maintaining updated checklists and SOPs
• Generate certified payroll reports through Points North and LCP tracker on a weekly basis in adherance with reporting deadlines

Job Description

As a member of our payroll team, you will play a critical role in processing the payroll for our corporate and field employees. Using good judgment and leveraging company best practices, you will manage high volume payroll tasks across multiple entities and pay groups. The ability to interact with field employees and managers in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient with a high level of professionalism is crucial to this role.

• Process multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payroll
