This position provides Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits administration for the Company. You will be responsible for the preparation of weekly/biweekly payroll as well as administrative support for HR projects and services.
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated proficiency in Paylocity’s functionalities, including payroll processing, reporting, and troubleshooting, as well as experience navigating its nuances. Responsibilities are to include but are not limited to:
Payroll:
- Prepare, administer and audit company weekly payroll, to include inputting approved pay adjustments, personnel transactions such as new hires, termination, employee status changes, benefit deductions, garnishments, taxable fringe benefits, loan collection, leaves of absence, etc., in a timely manner.
- Audit new hires by reviewing employee tax withholding information, verifying compensation, processing direct deposit, and ensuring an accurate first payment.
- Review employee terminations, including final pay instructions, deductions, paid time off, and finalized timecard entry.
- Perform routine audits of the Time & Attendance system, including timecard entry and supervisory approvals.
- Process employee Time & Attendance data and reconcile variances utilizing reporting tools in the Payroll and Time & Attendance systems.
- Maintain the integrity of employee data and files, ensuring that all changes to terms are accurately recorded and remain in compliance.
- Maintain the flow of documentation through electronic file feeds for payroll changes including clear communication with HRIS System, benefits vendors, and internal departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll changes, auditing of payroll and HR systems.
- Act as one of the primary point people to address employee inquiries regarding pay.
- Ensure that transactions are processed in compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as government agency regulations.
- Run compensation and other payroll and HRIS reports as requested.
- Provides timely, knowledgeable, and courteous service to internal and external customers.
- Manages all correspondence regarding tax filing and employment verifications.
- Confirms payroll administration and reporting complies with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations and is processed on a timely and accurate basis. This includes processing any garnishments, liens and child support payments as mandated. Assists with preparing and reconciling reports and resolves any discrepancies.
- Administers data integrity audits to ensure quality assurance for all employment data to include EEOC classification, FLSA status, and position grades.
Education and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of payroll experience
- In-depth knowledge of employment state and federal laws
- In-depth knowledge of transactional payroll and benefit processes and related administrative activities
- Strong understanding of Paylocity system
