Job summary

Community Health Network's Sr Patient Care Tech - Observation at the Community Heart & Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support RNs with direct patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and help with safe transport and meal service.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, computer literacy for documentation, and strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the health care team to deliver care.
• Perform additional care tasks as directed.

Make a Difference

TheSenior Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Performs direct patient care such as bathing, assisting with elimination, bed making, and vital signs. Transports patients and patient-related materials in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Greets and orients patients to the patient care area. Performs meal service and feeding assistance functions. Provides additional select care to patients. Collaborates with other team members to perform other services as directed.

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

• High School diploma or GED required
• Ability to use a computer for documentation and work related purposes

Additional requirements

• Must be available for one week of full-time training
