Job summary

Community Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Patient Care Tech for Med/Surg/Oncology on a part-time night schedule, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM, with rotation of every other weekend.

Under RN supervision, this role performs direct patient care, transports patients, orients new patients, and assists with meals and basic care tasks. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, a CNA license or be enrolled in nursing school, and at least 3 months of clinical experience or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three months of clinical experience or CNA license OR currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Ability to use a computer for documentation and work-related purposes.
• Demonstrates patient-centered communication and accountability.
• Willingness to be flexible with shift times and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform direct patient care (bathing, elimination assistance, bed making, vital signs).
• Transport patients and materials safely and promptly.
• Greet and orient patients to the care area; assist with meal service and feeding.
• Collaborate with team members to provide selective care as directed.

Make a Difference
The Senior Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Performs direct patient care such as bathing, assisting with elimination, bed making, and vital signs. Transports patients and patient-related materials in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Greets and orients patients to the patient care area. Performs meal service and feeding assistance functions. Provides additional selective care to patients. Collaborates with other team members to perform other services as directed.

• High School diploma or GED required
• Ability to use a computer for documentation and work related purposes

Additional requirements
