Job summary

ICON International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Paid Social Lead Buyer to own planning, buying, and optimization across Meta, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat, and more. You will lead strategy conversations with clients, mentor junior buyers, and stay hands-on with campaign execution.

This role reports to the Paid Social Manager and is based in our Stamford, CT office. Responsibilities include leading full-funnel campaigns, analyzing data to improve performance, developing testing

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of paid social experience in an agency or client setting.
• Proven track record managing and scaling paid social investments across major platforms.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Very organized with solid project management and multi-account handling.
• Deep understanding of platform algorithms and optimization levers.
• Advanced analytics mindset focused on media performance and results.
• Experience developing testing strategies and client-facing deliverables.
• Experience mentoring junior team members preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the buying, planning, and management of full-funnel, direct response, and branding campaigns across social platforms.
• Serve as the senior day-to-day buyer on assigned accounts, optimizing campaigns against performance goals and KPIs.
• Analyze campaign data to develop and refine strategy, scale spend, and improve performance.
• Develop testing structures and strategies to continually improve platform and campaign performance.
• Partner cross-functionally with strategy, planning, measurement, Ad Ops, and programmatic teams to align on campaign goals.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior buyers and associates, sharing best practices and platform expertise.
• Lead client meetings, confidently communicating ICON’s social tactics, strategic recommendations and performance results.
• Monitor key metrics and proactively adjust strategy in real time.
• Compile and analyze performance data, identify trends, and proactively bring recommendations to clients and internal teams.
• Stay ahead of the latest platform updates, trends, and best practices in social media, sharing key learnings with the broader team.

ICON International is hiring a Senior Paid Social Lead Buyer to lead the buying and management of client media investments across major social platforms, including Meta, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and others. This is the most senior individual-contributor buying role on the Ad Platforms team — the ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in planning, buying, reporting, and analytics, is comfortable leading strategy conversations with clients, and is ready to mentor associates or junior buyers while remaining hands‑on in campaign execution. This role reports to the Paid Social Manager.

• Highly organized with strong project management skills; able to manage multiple accounts and projects, reprioritizing as needs shift
• Strong understanding of platform algorithms, optimization levers, and ad products
• Advanced analytical mindset with a focus on media performance and driving results
• Experience developing testing strategies and compiling client‑facing deliverables
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members preferred
• Intermediate Excel and AI tool proficiency
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States

This salary represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wage the Company reasonably expects to offer for this position at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
