Job summary

Synechron, a global consulting firm, seeks a Senior PLSQL Developer with PySpark experience to design, develop, test, and implement Oracle-based solutions for our financial services clients. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PLSQL Developer with pyspark development experience to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Developer, the candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Oracle-based solutions to meet our business needs.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jersey City, NJ is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Oracle an Oracle database application, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages.
• Perform data modelling, schema design, and database optimization to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes between Oracle and other systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization to ensure code quality and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with the latest Oracle technologies and practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
• Operate with limited supervision.

Requirements

• Must have strong experience in Oracle packages, procedures, functions, analytics functions.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQLstatements in Oracle 19c/21c.
• Performance Tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL, PL /SQLcode.
• Maintain re-useable development standards that help implement each solution and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs
• Strong facilitation and communication skills - both verbal and written – is a must
• Demonstrated experience providing code reviews and mentoring across multiple agile teams
• Experience migrating to CI/CD with SDM platform (Horizon/BitBucket /Artifactory/etc)
• Reads code in multiple languages and inspects infrastructure in order to thoroughly understand current state before requesting or implementing changes
• Agile methodology JIRA story grooming execution
• Understand clients requirements (stories), come up with the story level design and translate into deliverables.
• Ability to learn business processes and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks.
