Job summary

InfraHire Group in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee the full semiconductor production lifecycle, from wafer fabrication to high-volume manufacturing, and to manage vendor relationships with foundries and testing partners.

You will lead production initiatives, drive yield improvements, and partner with engineering and leadership to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met as the organization scales.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of semiconductor manufacturing or operations experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of silicon-based products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full semiconductor production lifecycle from wafer fabrication to high-volume manufacturing.

Job Summary (Sr. Operation Manager Semiconductor Manufacturing)

• - Oversee the full semiconductor production lifecycle, including wafer fabrication, testing, backend processing, and high-volume manufacturing.
• - Manage relationships with semiconductor foundries and oversee transition from development to scalable manufacturing.
• - Evaluate, qualify, and manage external wafer-testing partners and manufacturing resources.
• - Select and implement test equipment and processes to optimize throughput, quality, and production costs.
• - Oversee wafer testing, backend manufacturing, reliability programs, and failure analysis.
• - Identify and resolve production-related technical issues and drive yield improvements.
• - Select, qualify, and manage manufacturing suppliers and contract partners.
• - Support scale-up of production from pilot runs to high-volume output.
• - Develop and improve quality-control procedures, production processes, and RMA practices.
• - Monitor supplier performance, conduct supply chain and manufacturing audits, and resolve supplier issues.
• - Improve ERP/MRP processes, production controls, inventory planning, and work-in-process tracking.
• - Develop manufacturing cost models and negotiate supplier/vendor agreements.
• - Drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, reliability, and efficiency.
• - Lead a direct report and coordinate with internal engineering and senior leadership teams.
• - Communicate manufacturing priorities, risks, and progress with technical and executive stakeholders.
• - Requires 7-10 years of semiconductor manufacturing or operations experience and hands-on knowledge of silicon-based products.
• - Strong skills in vendor management, problem-solving, communication, and strategic leadership.
• - Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent practical semiconductor experience required.
