Job summary
TCS Inc is seeking a Sr Network Engineer in Huntsville, AL to lead a cutting-edge defense project. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance, US citizenship, and DoD 8140 certification. On-site work at a Huntsville facility with no telework.
Responsibilities include network configuration, security management, and Linux system administration within a DoD environment. Relevant Cisco certifications and government contracts experience are highly valued.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Active DoD Top Secret or higher clearance required.
- On-site work at a Huntsville facility; telework not available.
- 9 years experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 7 years with a Master's OR 4 years with a PhD; DoD 8140 certification required.
- Previous support of government contracts preferred.
- Active Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) required.
Responsibilities
- Lead network engineering activities for a DoD-focused project in Huntsville, AL.
- Support and configure Cisco networking equipment and security controls.
- Maintain and monitor Linux-based infrastructure environments.
- Ensure compliance with DoD 8140 and security requirements.

TCS is searching for a Sr Network Engineer for an exciting role based in Huntsville AL This role will be supporting leading a cutting edge new project supporting our client a leader in US defense technologies
- US citizenship
- an existing DoD clearance Top Secret or higher
- on site work at a facility in Huntsville Alabama telework is not available
- Required 9 Years with bachelors degree or; 7 Years with masters degree or; 4 Years with PhDMust have a DoD 8140 certification ex Security CEUS citizenship with an active Top Secret clearance
- Previous support of govt contracts
- Active Cisco certifications such as CCNA CCNP CCIE etc
- Desired Experience with Cisco Networks with a focus on Network configuration
- Experience with RHEL Red Hat Satellite servers and configuration
- Experience with VMWare ESXi VMWare vCenter
- Experience with LAN and WAN management
- Palo Alto firewall experience
- Familiarity with Network Technologies and Cybersecurity
- Strong systems administrator experience specifically in Linux Operating System environments
