Job summary

World Wide Technology, LLC has an opportunity available for a Sr. Network Engineer to support our Government Services team. This position will focus on Engineering and support within a customer’s environment.

Candidates must hold a Secret clearance or Public Trust and have 8+ years of network engineering experience, CCNP or equivalent, and an industry-recognized advanced networking certification. Hybrid work in Edwardsville, IL is offered.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or Public Trust required.
• 8+ years of relevant network engineering or architecture experience.
• CCNP, ITIL, or ITSM qualification.
• Industry-recognized advanced networking certification required.

Responsibilities

• Handle escalated network incidents requiring advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and root-cause identification.
• Perform intermediate configuration and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
• Analyze recurring issues and recommend improvements to reduce incident volume.
• Assist in implementing network changes, upgrades, and optimizations under guidance of senior engineers.
• Conduct deeper investigation of performance degradations, routing issues, and VLAN/subnet misconfigurations.
• Monitor and interpret network performance metrics to proactively detect problems.
• Review Tier 1 escalations, provide guidance, and train Tier 1 staff in troubleshooting methodologies.
• Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, SOPs, and topology information.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on project tasks, migrations, or new technology deployments.

Preferred locations: Edwardsville, IL (Hybrid)

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
