Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and maintain critical network infrastructure linking hospitals, imaging centers, datacenters, and remote clinical environments. This 100% remote contract-to-hire role focuses on reliability and patient care.

Responsibilities include configuring switches/routers/firewalls, leading upgrades and migrations, and coordinating with ISPs and hospital IT teams. Strong TCP/IP fundamentals and CCNP/Palo Alto/Aruba certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Prisma, Aruba products, and SD-WAN.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing & Switching, NAT, VPNs.
• Experience with dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.

• Identify network risks and recommend infrastructure improvements.
• Serve as an escalation point for network-related issues.
• Participate in occasional after-hours support for critical incidents.
• Maintain documentation, standards, and change management processes.
• Mentor team members and assist with troubleshooting documentation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
