Our client seeks a Sr. .Net Developer II to serve as a senior full-stack engineer and technical lead. You will build and modernize enterprise applications using .NET and React, drive architecture and development standards, make tooling decisions, and promote engineering best practices. You will design APIs and services, integrate solutions across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and the Power Platform, lead AI-enabled modernization initiatives, establish CI/CD processes, mentor developers, conduct design and code reviews, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Secret clearance. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.
Salary: $145,000 - $165,000/ yr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the trusted primary point of contact for stakeholders submitting requests and deliver a responsive, professional, customer-first experience.
- Review and triage intake requests, assess scope, priority, complexity, and completeness, and follow up to clarify objectives and gather missing information.
- Elicit, document, and translate business needs into clear, well-structured requirements for delivery teams.
- Route requests to appropriate solutions architects and analysts to determine the best response, recommendation, or proposal.
- Coordinate across architects, analysts, and development teams to shepherd each request from submission through proposed solution, tracking status and removing roadblocks.
- Communicate status, timelines, and proposed solutions in clear, non-technical language and manage expectations.
- Monitor intake volume, response times, and engagement metrics; identify trends and opportunities to streamline the intake-to-delivery process.
- Refine and improve workflow, triage criteria, and routing logic based on feedback and operational data.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, requirements, decisions, and outcomes to support transparency, reporting, and governance.
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with customers and internal delivery teams while balancing program priorities.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Active Secret clearance and local to the DMV area with ability to support onsite requirements in Washington, DC.
- 8+ years of progressive .NET development experience (C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core), including technical lead or senior engineering roles.
- Demonstrated experience making architecture and technology selection decisions for enterprise applications with clear rationale.
- Proficiency in React, including hooks, component design, state management, and responsive UI development.
- Experience developing server-side applications or APIs with Node.js.
- Demonstrated use of AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, with judgment on low-code applicability.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, including data modeling, table configuration, relationships, and security roles.
- Experience supporting or modernizing SharePoint-backed systems across SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2013 or newer.
- Deep experience with MS SQL, Entity Framework, and RESTful API design and consumption.
- Experience establishing or maturing CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows with strong Git fundamentals.
- Experience leading code reviews, setting coding standards, and mentoring developers.
- Strong understanding of application security concepts, Active Directory, and identity and access patterns in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Office, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneDrive.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical recommendations to engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite in a federal environment, with occasional Saturday hours for deployment activities.
