Job summary

Syensqo is a science company seeking a Sr. Multi-Craft Mechanic to operate equipment safely and independently in our California facility. The role requires qualification across multiple crafts and the ability to perform tasks from lower maintenance classes.

You will ensure compliance with HSE&S, participate in safety programs, and follow all safety rules including PPE usage. The position emphasizes process safety, quality, and customer service in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

The Sr. Multi-Craft Mechanic is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Performs all Sr. Multi-Craft Mechanic's functions fully and independently with minimal supervision.
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Must qualify as a Multi Craft Sr.
Must qualify as a Sr. Mechanic.
Must qualify as a Sr. Electrician
Must be willing to perform all jobs from lower classes within the maintenance department
Ensure all work is to be performed in accordance with the Responsible Care EMS - Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)
Intervene and take appropriate actions on any non-conformance, possible non-conformance, or concerns affecting 1) compliance with any known legal, regulatory or company requirement, 2) Safety, Health, Environment & Security (HSE&S) policies, procedures, or other management system requirements, and/or 3) expectations or needs of other interested parties and communicate it using the appropriate company process.
Ensure that the HSE & Responsible Care management Systems requirements are integrated into their organization's business structure and processes and achieve intended outcomes.
Promote an observable culture of process safety, product safety/stewardship, and customer service within their organizational control.
When requested, participate in the development, communication, and implementation of HSE&S and Responsible Care programs.
Communicate and follow up as required on any HSE&S concerns, incidents, near misses, or opportunities for improvement using the appropriate company process.

• When requested, lead, participate and/or provide resources for Employee Safety Committee (ASC), Safety Meetings, Incident/Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations, Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Startup Review (PSSR), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and other related HSE&S, process safety, and customer service activities.
  

Must follow all MSOP & Plant Safety Rules. Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE required in this area are KEVLAR GLOVES, LATEX GLOVES, FULL FACE RESPIRATOR, HALF FACE RESPIRATOR, DUST MASKS, & EAR PLUGS. TYVEK Suits are also available for PROTECTION.
High School Diploma or equivalent

6 yrs plus experience in Industrial Maintenance

Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Conditions (S.O.C.), Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.), etc.

Controlling operations of equipment or systems
Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

You will get:

• Competitive salary and benefits package. The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is:
• 2nd Sr. Multi-Craft, Tuesday- Saturday 2pm-10pm

Starting pay $40.69 - $50.55 Plus shift differential $0.90
3rd Sr. Multi-Craft, Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am
Starting pay $40.69 - $50.55 Plus shift differential $0.90

• Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
