Arena Technical Resources, LLC (ATR) seeks a Sr. MQ Engineer to design, implement, and maintain IBM MQ infrastructure onsite at Annapolis Junction, MD. The role supports mission-critical messaging for complex applications.

Candidates must have an Active Secret clearance, 12+ years of relevant experience, and expertise in MQ clustering, HA, Unix, and DevOps/IaC practices. You will collaborate with developers, tune performance, and ensure secure, reliable messaging operations.

Qualifications

• Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens can be considered.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• At least 5+ years Unix experience.
• At least 5+ years DevOps/ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.
• Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and on-call requirements.
• This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the IBM MQ infrastructure, including queue managers, channels, queues, and other MQ objects.
• Configure and manage MQ clustering, multi-instance queue managers, and high availability solutions to ensure message reliability and fault tolerance.
• Monitor and analyze MQ performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, optimizing configurations, and tuning MQ settings to enhance system efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and support to application developers, assisting in the integration of applications with MQ messaging.
• Ensure the security and integrity of MQ infrastructure, implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms.
• Document technical configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for the MQ environment.

Job Description: Seeking an experienced MQ Senior Engineer to join our
team. As an MQ Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for designing,
implementing, and maintaining the IBM MQ infrastructure that enables
reliable and efficient messaging communication. Your role will involve
configuring MQ objects, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues,
and providing technical expertise to support critical business
applications.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Requirements:

• - Design, implement, and maintain the IBM MQ infrastructure, including queue managers, channels, queues, and other MQ objects.
• - Configure and manage MQ clustering, multi-instance queue managers, and high availability solutions to ensure message reliability and fault tolerance.
• - Monitor and analyze MQ performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, optimizing configurations, and tuning MQ settings to enhance system efficiency.
