Job summary

HRUCKUS is seeking a Senior MQ Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD for a full-time assignment. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining IBM MQ infrastructure to support mission-critical messaging services.

The ideal candidate has an Active Secret clearance, 12+ years of relevant experience, and at least 5 years in Unix and IaC/DevOps. On-site five days a week is possible, with remote options now available as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years Unix experience.
• 5+ years DevOps or IaC experience.
• Willing to participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the IBM MQ infrastructure (queue managers, channels, queues).
• Configure MQ clustering, multi-instance queue managers, and HA solutions.
• Monitor MQ performance and tune configurations for efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance to developers for MQ integrations.
• Ensure MQ security with access controls, encryption, and auditing.
