Position Overview

The Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician performs licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced mechanical, hydraulic, electrical diagnostics. This role is essential for troubleshooting complex repairs, leading on job sites, and acting as a customer consultant. The technician must comply with all policies and meet performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on various trucks in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, and other systems.
• Conduct tests, road tests, and diagnose malfunctions using specialized tools.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company vehicles.
• Document work accurately and efficiently using company tools and systems.
• Ensure safety and compliance with all environmental and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Necessary hand tools and ASE certifications (T8, 608/609 within 18 months).
• Valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical and background checks.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Certifications

• ASE T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, A8, L1, L2 certifications.
