Job summary

Autoware a Coesia Partner in the United States is seeking a MES Software Engineer to implement, develop, configure, install, and maintain AVEVA-based components for manufacturing clients.

Join a global team delivering advanced MES/MOM solutions, with responsibilities ranging from configuration and deployment to on-call remote support and travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
• Knowledge of AVEVA System platform and experience with SQL Server.
• Experience with AVEVA Historian and AVEVA MES modules.
• Experience with Traksys platform and SQL Server; knowledge of C# integration.
• Experience providing remote/onsite technical support in engineering services.
• Pharmaceutical or cosmetic sector exposure is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned project components on time and to agreed quality standards.
• Configure, install and maintain AVEVA/MES components for customer deployments.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support; participate in on-call rotation.
• Document code and draft technical manuals and user guides.
• Collaborate with development team to ensure project cohesion and quality.
• Travel to customer sites as required; document work performed and expenses.

About the Role

The MES Software Engineer is responsible for implementing, developing, configuring, installing, and maintaining application components built for customers. This role provides technical and application support services in accordance with contractual specifications and is integral to delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our client base.

In this role you are responsible for

• Deliver assigned project components on time and to agreed quality standards
• Identify issues and potential deviations from project scope and communicate them promptly
• Provide regular progress updates to the Technical Lead and/or Project Manager, escalating problems as needed
• Actively collaborate with all members of the development team to ensure project cohesion
• Install and configure commercially available hardware and software products for customer deployments
• Research and gather information required to complete assigned technical tasks
• Document source code and draft technical documentation, including user manuals and developer guides
• Provide remote technical support to customers under active maintenance contracts, including on-call coverage as defined in the on-call agreement
• When traveling to customer sites, maintain complete documentation of work performed and associated expenses

What You Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered

• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or cosmetic sector
• Knowledge of AVEVA System platform and experience with SQL Server
• Knowledge of AVEVA Historian
• Knowledge of AVEVA Operations and Performance module
• Knowledge of AVEVA Work Tasks and AVEVA MES
• Knowledge of Traksys platform and experience with SQL Server and C#
