Job summary

Advance Auto Parts seeks a Senior Merchandising Operations Specialist to lead process and system improvements across merchandising. You will collaborate with IT and business teams to implement enhancements, create and maintain process documentation, and support large-scale initiatives such as plan-o-grams and vendor onboarding.

You will also monitor data stewardship, train team members on new processes, and provide clear updates to leadership on progress and timelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in merchandising operations, data management, or related roles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and 365 apps.
• Experience with PMM (Blue Yonder), MMT, PIM, Ad Control and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead process and system improvements; identify gaps and drive initiatives with IT and business teams.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and flowcharts; ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Represent Merch Ops in large-scale initiatives like plan-o-grams, vendor onboarding, flips and test drives; monitor timelines.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Merchandising Operations Specialist, you will provide leadership andexpertiseto merchandising partners and stakeholders. This role focuses on improving enterprise systems and processes, preventing delays, supporting large-scale initiatives, and mentoring team members.

What will you do?

Process & System Improvements

• Identifygaps in enterprise processes and systems; lead initiatives to resolve issues.

• Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement improvements.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide executive-level updates.

Documentation & Process Development

• Create andmaintainprocess documentation and flowcharts.

• Coordinate reviews and updates to ensure alignment and efficiency.

• Train team members on new or updated processes.

Large-Scale Initiative Support

• Represent Merch Ops in initiatives such as new plan-o-grams, vendor onboarding, vendor flips, and test drives.

• Provide subject matterexpertiseand ensure adherence to timelines.

• Communicate clearly and concisely with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Data Stewardship

• Monitor merchandising data accuracy and integrity.

• Communicateanomalies and support resolution efforts.

Ad Hoc Merch Ops Duties

• Assist with SKU setup, Ad Control data entry, and Vendor Funding Form execution.

• Perform audits andmaintaindata quality across merchandising systems.

Location & Work Availability:

This position isHybrid (4days in office,1day remote),based at our corporate headquarters inRaleigh, North Carolina.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications.

• Experience with PMM (Blue Yonder), MMT, PIM, Ad Control, and Power BI.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Certifications, Experience, and Education:

• 3+ years in merchandising operations, data management, or related roles.
