Job summary

Qualifications

  • Retail Math: Gross Margin, Turn, GMROI, Weeks of Supply, Sell Through, AUR, ASR.
  • Advanced Excel with pivot tables, formulas, data analysis; PowerPoint for insights.
  • SQL proficiency for data extraction, analysis, reporting.
  • Project management skills; manage multiple initiatives with deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration; work with project owners and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
  • Comfort navigating complex datasets and systems to drive actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute seasonal and promotional assortment plans.
  • Analyze sales, market trends, and customer preferences to inform decisions.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams.
  • Monitor inventory levels and turnover to maximize profitability.

This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What will you do
  • Assortment Strategy: Develop and execute seasonal and promotional assortment plans that align with overall business objectives and customer demand.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to inform assortment decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure optimal product availability and alignment with promotional activities.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and turnover rates to maximize profitability and minimize excess stock.
  • Reporting: Create and present reports on assortment performance, highlighting key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and consumer behavior to drive informed assortment decisions.
Location & Work Availability

This position is Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote), based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina. Flexibility for occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications
  • Retail Math Expertise: Gross Margin, Turn, GMROI, Weeks of Supply, Sell Through %, Balance of Sale, Average Unit Cost, Average Unit Retail, Sales per Sq Ft
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point: Leverages advanced Excel capabilities (including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis) and PowerPoint to deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Basic/Moderate SQL proficiency for data extraction, analysis, and reporting across assortment planning systems.
  • Project management, ability and willingness to manage multiple initiatives with competing deadlines, utilizing Project Management tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently while effectively engaging with project owners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable navigating complex datasets and systems, with a focus on driving actionable insights and operational efficiency.
Certifications, Experience, And Education
  • Certifications: None
  • Experience: 2-4 years related experience in Inventory Management, Assortment Planning, or Supply Chain
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Mathematics or related field; OR equivalent combination of experience and education.
