Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's OptumCare is seeking a Sr. Medical Assistant in the Mesa area to support care across the continuum. You will perform MA duties, apply clinical knowledge, and collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth operations.

A 30-day clock to obtain CPR/BLS if needed will be expected. Qualified candidates have a Medical Assistant program completion and 3+ years of MA experience; EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • CPR and/or BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or Military Medic program.
  • 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Applies knowledge/skills to daily activities, varying day to day.
  • Demonstrates a moderate level of knowledge in own function.
  • Requires little assistance with standard and non-standard requests.
  • Solves routine problems independently.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Current CPR and/or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant or Military Medic program
  • 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in Family Practice, Specialty, or Internal
  • EMR experience - EPIC
  • Assisted with onboarding new staff

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
