GeoLogics is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for a contract role based in Maple Grove, MN. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of experience. Responsibilities include researching and developing mechanical products and performing technical analyses.
This position requires US citizenship and offers a rate of $62/hr without benefits. Candidates must have working knowledge of CAD systems and strong communication skills.
TITLE: Sr. Mechanical Engineer (US Citizenship REQUIRED)
MAX RATE: $62/hr W2 (no health benefits, no paid PTO while on contract – an hour work is an hour paid)
LOCATION: 100% Onsite in Maple Grove, MN 55369 (no relocation package)
DURATION: 12+ months
SCHEDULE: 9/80 (every other Friday off)

Researches, plans, analyzes, designs, and develops mechanical products such as ammunition handling systems, structures, gun systems, missile launchers, mechanisms, and other devices.
Performs technical analysis, testing, and evaluation of moderately complex engineering problems using specialized equipment and computer programs.
Analyzes and interprets design specifications, drawings, documents, models, and test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements.
Develops and writes technical documentation, revises existing documentation, and provides input to technical papers or presentations.
May deliver technical presentations related to production support activities.
Creates and maintains product parts, assemblies, and drawings using PT/C Creo Parametric (v11) modeling software.
Performs complex engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, testing, and product assurance tasks of limited complexity for a range of engineering design and analytical theory, principles, techniques, and practices to a complex portion of a technical project. Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers.
Acquires and maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant engineering disciplines, industry practices, trends, and applications.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety policies and rules.
Provides input to project leaders for the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
