Position Summary: Sr. Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Development Engineer to join our team. The position will be based in Valley Green, PA. As a Mechanical Development Engineer for connector Mezzanine Products, you will be responsible for cLGA mechanical connector design, mechanical analysis, customer support, and supporting new business opportunities. This role serves as the key mechanical development engineer in the connector design group, supporting new connector designs, documentation, and quality issues. The position involves working as part of a global cross-functional team with customer interaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop innovative product solutions.
2. Review product designs to ensure performance and customer requirements are met.
3. Utilize 3D CAD software to develop cLGA derivative designs.
4. Prepare samples for development studies and DOEs.
5. Analyze designs using Finite Element Analysis.
6. Collect, record, and analyze data.
7. Develop and review product performance specifications.
8. Ensure projects are completed on time.
9. Design cost-effective cLGA connector derivatives.
10. Collaborate with component suppliers on new designs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 5 to 10 years of mechanical design experience.
3. Proficient in 3D modeling using SolidWorks.
4. Understanding of drawing standards such as ASME Y14.5.
5. Knowledge of component tooling DFM.
6. Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
7. Strong communication skills with global customers and internal teams.
8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
9. Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus.
10. Knowledge of molding, stamping, and plating processes is a plus.
